The Provider Allocation Trend shows the break down of plan spending between network and non-network facilities and physicians quarter over quarter.

The Provider Allocation Trend is designed to simplify the task of breaking down all submitted charges from network and non-network facilities and physicians over a period of time. The above chart provides a visual colored depiction on the cost distribution between network, non-network, facilities and physicians.
Dark Blue - Network Facility
Light Blue - Non-network Facility
Dark Red - Network Physician
Light Red - Non-network Physician
The colored areas then correlate to the legend area below by showing detailed claim information from start and end dates for each quarter based on the time period displayed on the report.
Period: Denotes each quarter represented on the graph.
Facility: A hospital or other general medical facility (i.e., not a physician). More.
Physician: A doctor or other medical practioner (i.e., not a facility). More.
Network: In network (PPO) Plan Paid dollars broken out by facility and physician.
Non-Network: Plan Paid dollars broken out by non contracted facility and physician.
Helpful Hints:
- This report is useful in determining if a network change was beneficial or steerage was implemented correctly.
